Arlopu recalls about 10,318 slide playsets over head and neck entrapment hazards

Arlopu is recalling about 10,318 slide playsets because of head and neck entrapment hazards, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall covers model numbers KT-CS17 and LY-31. The plastic playsets are designed for indoor or outdoor use and include a slide and a basketball hoop, and they come in tan, red, blue, yellow, gray and green. The model number KT-CS17 is printed on a label on the underside of the elevated platform, and LY-31 is printed on a label on the upper back panel behind the slide.

The CPSC said the playsets contain multiple openings where a child's torso can fit through but a child's head cannot, posing a risk of serious injury and death from head and neck entrapment. The agency also said the basketball nets on KT-CS17 playsets can come unhooked from the rim and form a loop large enough for a child's head, posing entanglement and strangulation hazards. Arlopu has received one report of an entrapment incident resulting in abrasions on a child's neck, according to the CPSC.

The playsets were sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from April 2023 through August 2026 for between $90 and $130, the CPSC said. The importer is SHENZHENSHIMINGXIAOSHANGMAOYOUXIANGONGSI dba Arlopu, of China, and the playsets were made in China, according to the agency.

The CPSC said consumers should stop using the playsets immediately and store them away from children. Consumers should contact Arlopu for a free repair kit that includes redesigned panels, basketball hoops and installation instructions. Consumers will be asked to email a photo of the product showing the model number to arlopu_support@163.com, and the firm will mail the free repair kit directly after receiving the photo. Once the repair is complete, consumers should write "RECALLED" with a permanent marker on the removed components and dispose of them.

Arlopu can be reached toll-free at 800-657-9218 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, by email at arlopu_support@163.com, or online at arlopu.com by clicking "Recall Information" at the top of the page, according to the CPSC.
