Harkla recalls sensory swings with four-hole ceiling hooks

Harkla’s blue children’s compression sensory swings with four-hole ceiling mounting plates are subject to a recall dated October 29, 2026. CPSC reports that the hook can detach from the plate, allowing the swing to fall. The notice covers about 25,541 units in the United States, plus 5,534 sold in Canada.

Identify the affected mounting plate

The recall applies to the four-hole design. The packaging may show SKU LS-COMP-1BLU or LS-COMP-1BLU-SW. Harkla says the two-hole ceiling hook is not included in this recall. Its recall page provides pictures to help owners distinguish the two versions.

What owners should do

Harkla instructs owners of the recalled four-hole hooks to stop using the swing immediately. The company offers a free hardware replacement kit with installation instructions through its recall page. Keep the swing out of use until the replacement has been properly installed. Contact Harkla if you cannot identify the mounting plate or need installation assistance.

Reported injuries and sales

CPSC records 29 reports of hooks separating, including 14 injuries: two concussions, a broken arm, bumps and bruises. The swings were sold from March 2020 through December 2025 for $100 to $130 at named specialist retailers and online through Amazon and Harkla. The CPSC notice below lists the retailers.
