RootStim recalls minoxidil bottles over child-poisoning risk

A CPSC recall dated October 29, 2026 covers about 11,000 RootStim minoxidil hair-regrowth products. The agency says their bottles lack the child-resistant packaging required for minoxidil, creating a potentially fatal poisoning hazard if young children swallow the contents. No injuries were reported in the notice.

What owners should do

CPSC advises keeping the affected products out of children’s sight and reach and contacting RootStim for replacement instructions. Its notice describes a process involving marking the bottle as recalled, discarding it and supplying a photograph.
